SCREENSESSIONS – Your Music on the Big Screen

Six years ago SCREENSESSIONS, the Austrian Music Video Festival, gave itself the task of projecting domestic ‘musicians’ videos onto the big screen. This way of presenting pieces of music gives the artistic aspects of the interpretation space, and generates interest in this type of short film.

At this year's Diagonale, for the first time, SCREENSESSIONS presents its own dedicated curated programme. 17 current works by dedicated musicians and video artists can be seen and heard which use different filmic genres along with their music, including animation, analogue animation technology, short film and experimental film among many others.
