From the Workshop. Living Film Museum Restorations

Presented by the Austrian Film Museum

Two programmes presented by the Austrian Film Museum allow an insight into their recent in-house restoration work and work securing film. Eighteen examples give an idea of how complex and various this process is – as well as the spectrum of subjects being collected (and their relationship to the Film Museum's curatorial focus). They also show the “choice of medium” and motivation which lies behind every individual act of “revitalisation” of a film.
Introductions and discussions from Film Museum employees will provide additional background to both sessions.
