A slow tracking shot along a forest – photorealistic image or digital artefact? Gamsjäger's hybrid images are deceptive. Foreground and background have the “opposite” behaviour to what we experience, gaps are compressed, distances are extended, the image seems to drift away in opposite directions. Ultimately it turns out to be entirely artificial, the reality a result of elaborate reconstruction.
