Mara Mattuschka's Alter Ego again gives herself over to tour de force bodily abandon. In her new work (the first on video) the performance artist once again ironically tackles the question of the construction of identity and bodily unity. The characteristics of the horror genre are made fresh and bright with an obvious and trashy outfit, in a tongue in cheek play on the codes of popular culture's embellishments. (Gerald Weber)
